Awhile back Shug mentioned hooking a piece of fleece to the ridgeline above his face to catch breath condensation from collecting on the top quilt. I tried this last weekend on an overnighter. The low temp was only about 25F but breath condensation is still an issue at those temps particularly from the nose since your nose angles down toward the top quilt. I tied the corner of a bandana on the ridgeline of my traveler hammock and then tucked the bottom of it into my balaclava at my chin. The results were excellent! The bandana was soaked in the morning but I had zero condensation on my top quilt which was great! I don't move around much in the hammock when I sleep so this method worked great for me and I'll for sure be doing this on all cold weather trips from now on. Thanks for the tip Shug!
