Hi Guy's,
Is this one still a go? I cut the lawn and painted the window frames this weekend and got me a gate pass for the 9th/10th April.
Keen to give my shiny new Hennessy a test drive!

I also have a pass for this weekend. My crate has also arrived from the UK with all my kit in so I won't have to do this in trainers with a $9 coles daypack now :thumbup
I think I may be able to make it. Ill confirm over the next day or so. How are we for numbers?
Hi Guys,
I know this hang has chopped and changed around a little bit so here goes again.
I have been speaking with Goodtalkruss and trying to get a date that suits him, being the originator and all…
The long and the short of it is that he is unable to make it this month which is a pity, so another hang next month will be on the cards too.
I cannot make it this weekend but I would like to see if the following weekend being 16th and 17th is suitable for the same Mt Solitary Hike’n’Hang?
Again, apologies for the changing around, I appreciate the planning that goes in with family and work commitments.
Who is in for the 16th and 17th? I'll start a new thread if anyone can make it, just give me a shout out on this thread and I'll leave a link to the new one.

I am ok for next weekend, but can't do the easter weekend after that.
Hi All,
Can't do 16th/17th or Easter. Gutted.
Have a good Hang guys and hopefully I can join you on the next one....

Already doing a hang 15th-17th but next month could be on the cards. It would be a good chance to try out some winter gear.
Yeah unfortunately I'm out too. Looks like next month sometime for me too... hard to juggle shifts/kids soccer and get a weekend pass... bit of a lottery draw actually!
Have a good time if you do get one going.
Did a bit of stealth over last weekend up at SW rocks ... ie only tie up to the tree after the rangers have knocked off and pack it up again early in the morning. Report from the kids was they really liked it (I was stuck in the tent with the missus
Couple things:
**** norfolk pines take alot of strap! and ... Defender roof rack makes a good second tree.
As the days get shorter I will need to seriously look at making an UQ and TQ.
Cheers
I made a last minute decision to head out to the blue mountains from Sydney yesterday at about 4.30pm. Wanted to have a "practice" run in my hammock as I haven't used it since moving to Australia. Turned up at the park entrance in Glenbrook on my motorbike at just after 6pm but the rangers had locked the gate. They let me in and said I could stay somewhere mnear the visitor centre. I need to figure out a good way to suspend my underquilt - it snapped off and I was freezing until about 2am and then decided to get out and somehow fix it back up.... I only took a summer weight sleeping bag which was also a mistake. Next week/next time it will be my winter sleeping bag and i will make sure I have the underquilt suspension igured out. How does everyone else do it? Didn't sleep well - got up at about 5.00am, cooked up breakfast then rode some of the trails to the different lookouts before heading out at 8am.
