I haven't made the change to a hammock yet, but have been doing research for the last several months and decided that it is the way to go. The wife is going to get me a Black Bird next week, can't wait to test it out.
After a week long kayaking trip down the Pecos River, sleeping on solid limestone, I convinced by buddy that we're getting too old to sleep on the ground and both need hammocks. We're planning a hike on the AT in April, looking forward to finally sleeping well in the woods.
Nice to find a place with like minded folks, any advice is greatly appreciated.
