    Figure 9's or knotbones

    Noob question here. Which would be better for securing a tarp without a full ridgeline figure 9's or knotbones ? Thanks in advance RJ55

    Personal Opinion. One of each. Use the knotbone first on one end. Then use the firure 9 on the other end. Benefit of the figure 9 is that you can tension the tarp. The knotbone is good because there is minimal wear on the line and they lock really securely... Have a look at one of the whoopiesling.com continuous ridge lines. works for a two string setup too!

    I use figure 9s tied on with a prussic for my tarp. Light, simple, no fuss.

    i started using figure nines for my tarp and love them. so easy to adjust...

    One of each...

    Knot bone is permanently attached via a locked brummel loop. Fig 9 is attached on a Klemheist knot.

    Loop the knot bone end around the tree, then adjust tension with the Fig 9.
