    TTTG News

    Hello to all,

We need to make a few announcements. First and foremost we want to thank everyone for their support. We really do appreciate your business. Second, we have discontinued the uncovered IX products (except the Inserts). Due to the larger than expected demand of other items we need to dedicate more production time to those items. Third, we are now in a back order status for the Switchback 1.9 SL & DL and the LightHiker. We should have the Switchback 1.9 DL back on the shelf by the end of the week. The LightHiker will be about 7 to 10 days if all goes well. The 1.9 SL will be about the same. Fourth, due to popular demand, we are bringing back the Switchback 1.1 DL. We thought the LightHiker could completely replace it. We were wrong. We do apologize for the mistake.

    Cheers, Dale

I read Darby's post and my eyes went when I saw the 1.1 Dbl Switchback was back. That was my initial first choice of TTTrailGear hammock to try. I was going to immediately send Darby a PM and switch out my Light Hiker order...

Then I thought... "Give the Light Hiker a try first."

So Darby, I don't want to change out my standing order of a 1.1 Dbl Light Hiker (ordered 2/10/11). BUT, if the Light Hiker isn't a fit, you CANNOT discontinue the 1.1 Dbl Switchback until I can get an order in for one.

Glad to see your business is booming.

Shane, I think you will find the LH a good fit for you. I am 6' 1" and find that it lays a little flatter than the original SB. For those over 6'2", I would recommend the original SB over the LH. -- John

Website lists the 1.1 DL as being 29oz unrigged with a weight capacity of 260lbs. Light Hiker is 23 7/8oz unrigged with same weight capacity.
Can't wait to hear from ^shane^ when he gets his Light Hiker. I might have to order one of them, too!
