    Very nicely done!
I'll echo the comments on the expert stitching.
Seeing the flat diagonal capability of such a wide hammock, i'm nearly convinced to order the wide fabric myself.

I ended up copying 2QZQ's mod 4 design for the zip-off bugnet. I also included a removable/adjustable ridgeline. The only "mistake" I made was in the location of the openings between the layers -- I put them in the middle of the long sides of the asym diamond rather than in the short sides which makes inserting a pad slightly more cumbersome.

I need to re-whip the thing to get it just right but holy jeez is this thing comfy. The 72" width creates a huge sweet spot and an extremely flat lay. Not the lightest hammock by any means, but I mostly car camp or hang in a single location for long periods.

The girlfriend modelling with the bugnet zipped off and partially stuffed away.

Many thanks to HF for the help and oodles of information!
Great work - like the simple tie out; i went a little overboard and lined it with nylon webbing (having second thoughts now)

72" wide ripstop. Great find and nice work!

What was the raw length of the material you cut before sewing?

Many, many thanks guys. This was my first real sewing project so don't look too closely (plenty of screw ups, seam ripping, and wavy stitch lines) although I couldn't have done it without all of your help.

Don't worry about the girlfriend --she has plenty of hammocking options that don't involve my new toy (I've also got a 2QZq modded HH Exped and an ENO Doublenest).

Thanks, I believe my total material costs were ~$50. Time invested is another story...

Yep, from Quest Outfitters. I also got my zippers, shock cord, tie-outs, etc. from them.
