New guy from WV sayin hi!

Hi all! I am new to the whole hammock thing, and figured it might be good to get some advice from the pros.

Anywhoosles, I got me an ENOS SingleNest the other day, but haven't really had much chance to test it out yet. Still buggered trying to figure out how to attach this thing to the darn trees. Silly me, I thought rope and some knots would work but after looking around it looks like suspensions are almost as individual as the people using the hammocks. Anyways, I am looking for a good webbing based system, something that would be fairly easy to adjust, and hopefully something I can either make myself out of locally available material or something I can flat out buy of the interwebz.

Thanks for having me, and I look forward to learning a lot here!

    Derek

Looks like you found the place to be. I grew up in WV. Now I'm growing old in OH.

    Welcome, neighbor.
On suspensions: I've been using whoopie slings for lightweight adjustability for years, but Pan was extolling the virtues (and simplicity) of the strap system to me, and I think he made some good points. I may try just straps on my next hammock. It would be a good way to start out, too. You can adjust them with rings or triglides, and you don't need separate tree huggers.
