    A foot box is an enclosed section to put your feet into...

    Take a look at a mummy bag: most have the last foot or so completely enclosed (the zipper doesn't go down that far)

    You wear a top quilt like a blanket, but you don't have to tuck it around your feet as your feet slide into the "footbox"

    Steve D. Spent my first night hanging last night and used the fleece TQ I made. Started out with just the inner TQ. Added the outer around daybreak. Temps in the low to mid 50's. After adding the outer just snuggled in until 8 am. Very comfortable. I had stowed/folded the outer up in the foot of the hammock and when needed I pulled it down over the inner. In hindsight, instead of cutting the 90" width into 2 45" halves, I would cut 2 50"x90". Working on a pillow with the leftovers.
    Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
