hey guys i'm new to the hammocking world and new to hammock forums. I live i'n Columbus Mississippi and love camping and traveling. since i'mnew i still have alot of questions about suspension and insulation and tarps but i'm slowly getting better haha. anyway if any of you guys ever make your way to my part of the world or close by i would love to go on a camp with fellow hangers and would love some 101 conversation on some of my ideas.

Check out the Forums, Outings section and prowl through there. An earlier comment is correct: go to a group hang. There is one coming up in March in Arkansas if that isn't too far to get away. Its during Spring Break.

Well its not a group hang but we are getting together March 3-5 at Turnipseed Camp just outside of Mt Cheaha near Anniston, AL. It will a gathering of ground dwellers friends of HF member aboyd, myself and Mandydawn. You are more than welcome to come over for the weekend and join us.
