    MacCat or Warbonnet

I'm looking at tarps to go with a WBBB hammock. Any big difference or reason to choose between a MacCat (probably Deluxe or Standard) or Warbonnet (Big Mamajamba or Edge)?

For those with either MacCat Standard or Warbonnet Edge, are you happy with the coverage? I don't really anticipate winter camping but often a lot of rain.

I've got both the BMJ in spinntex and Deluxe in spinntex. Each has it's little plusses and minuses. I like the edge binding and tie outs on the OES better, but I like the shape of the BMJ better. You can't go wrong with either.

100% happy. It's a little louder - mainly when setting up or in rain. It seems at least as strong as any sil-nylon I've ever seen. It's REALLY light.

spinn is signifigantly weaker than 30d silnylon actually. but it's still good, just be aware you need to be more careful

I can echo what shane says. Both are good and will serve you well. WB does have door options but you can add custom options with OES as well. Not helpful I know.

You can make or user readily available doors on the OES tarp. I've attached Warbonnet BMJ doors to my OES Deluxe tarp... you just need a little loop of shock cord attached to the tarp corners...

Or send the tarp to 2QZQ for a permanent door mod...

OES just revamped there website they offer more tarps than they have in the past.
I use the Maccat standard and LOVE it. I have ridden out some hard storms under it. Just this week I was in the back yard in the hammock when it was blowing rain there wasn't a drop on my hammock.
