That weekend should be good for me too. I will add it to my calendar. I hope that the bugs won't be out in force either.
Cheers

I'm 95% certain that I can join you all on this one! I've committed to another canoe trip the week before this one. I don't want to drive home and have to turn around and head back up a few days later, so I'll try to change the dates of the other trip to end when this one starts. A great problem to have
I will be paddling a solo canoe, and can supply someone on this trip with my second solo boat if anyone is interested. It's a very fast rather tippy Wenonah Advantage ( the one pictured in my avatar ).

Hey Dant8ro,
Let's plan to meet at the Canoe Lake Access Point at 9:30 am on May13th. That'll get us on the water by 10 am and to our campsite in the early afternoon.
For me, that means leaving Toronto around 6 am and doing the 3 1/2 hour drive up.
It would certainly be best if we could all meet up before heading in, but it's not a deal breaker.
As some might be aware, the limit is 9 people and three "tents" per interior campsite. We can discuss that technicality later.

Sounds pretty good, now to wangle a Friday off...
I'd have to leave around 4:00am to get there at 9:30 Oh well, I slept the night at -11 so I can do anything.

Are we thinking two nights or three nights for this trip?

We're looking at 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). Some keeners might want to get there the day before (maybe me) or stay the day after, but let's official call it a two-nighter.
Although it sounds like you have a bit of a drive, there may be opportunities for carpooling, especially since you'll likely be passing through Kitchener/Waterloo or Hamilton.

Sound good chardpp. Are we thinking of different camps for each night or staying at the same camp both nights?

I've been talking with the guys at work. There is no way I can get the friday off but I have managed to get someone else to cover the rest of the weekend.
So myself and Odd Duck will come up on the saturday morning and stay the night.
I am unfamiliar with that end of Algonquin, if someone that knows the area could send me a map of the likely campsite you'll end up at that would save us alot of time looking for ya.

I'd like to join you guys ... about 80% sure I can get the time off at the moment. When do you need final confirmation?
