My SB is not just for Overnights

    Being retired,
I try to get out on my mtn bike a couple times a week just to help out the old heart muscle and get a bit of fresh air.
I used to take the camelbak with water and a cold sandwich to eat along the trail.

Then it dawned on me while hanging in the backyard.
Hea! I should take this out on the bike with me and I could go a bit farther with a mid trip nap.

I also decided to bring the backpack alky cook kit for a hot meal in the hammock. It worked great.

I did a couple small mods to the net ridgeline and tree straps.
    1) Removed the orange line and lengthened the SC then added a sm biner for attaching to the treestrap whoopie connection.
    2) Using the orange line I attached an REI pole repair piece as a toggle. Now the toggle is always with the tree strap.
I also use this orange loop on line to connect the net ridgeline biner.
I'm pretty happy with this setup.

Hard to see, but I added a couple REI 12" velcro straps to the netting just to give it a cleaner look.

I put a few of these picts in the trip report forum hopefully this post is not too redundant.
I just love the SB for this type of trip. Easy in/out, full view all around me, Net is out of the way but there if needed.
    Packs small and light.

    It's just perfect. Thanks TtoT

    Nice!
We've got a bunch of bike trails near the creek in the back of our neighborhood. I think I'll do this exact same thing tomorrow!

    Hi Alan,
    That is awesome my friend.
Love the pict's of your piney woods.
    What a beautiful bluebird day.
Seeing that ponds without ice makes me want to get my fishing tackle ready for ice off up here.

    thanks

I had such a great time that I didn't realize I was gone for so long. Out riding for about 2 hours with about a 15 minute hammock break in the middle. Saw a lot of hog and deer track. The trees at the pond are a favorite snack for the beavers!

    Gonna do it again tomorrow!
