Hey Big Dave,
I too turned 50 earlier this year, and with the same stipulations from my wife I decided on 50 miles on the west coast (I'm from Massachusetts.)
I have two possible routes in mind...PCT from the south tip of Tahoe to the north intersection with the highway. The other was a loop in Los Padres (and Big Sur of course.) I'm kinda really liking the Los Padres one but we'll see. I was supposed to be out there THIS WEEK but a job came up and I'min an office for another 45 days. I guess my trip will be after that. And I just looked at the weather in Los Padres and man it looks nice (high 60's, high 40' and sunny, DARN!)
Any thoughts? How's your planning coming?
John
