+1 on the AHE pillow. My new pillow arrived today in fact. My 3 1/2 yr old daughter claimed my last one for Kindy she loved it so much.

+1 on the Walmart pillow, bought one 4-5 years ago and have had it in with my sleeping bag ever since. I always seemed to forget a pillow and have to have one to sleep. Some clean cloathes worked but at the end of the trip my head smelling like dirty laundry, yech!

And them tears are tears of joy. Those children weren't going to eat before they got that pillow stuffing job. One day, all the world will have children like ours, fat, lazy and bitchin that the latest video game isn't in front of them. Till then we'll have to deal with the fact that many children know just exactly how good our kids have it.

    Hi Guys,
I run my clothing stuff sack tied by the draw string to the head end of the hammock. Keeps it in place and doesn't slide down whenever you move.

I use a little travel pillow I've had for years. I'd change it out for a 'proper' down one as mine packs down larger than my UQ does but all the ones I've seen have a synthetic outer layer which is a real turn off for me. If I had sewing skills I'd make a little cotton slip for it but alas I don't.

The only problem with pillows in a hammock I've found is that they slip down under your back when you sit up.

I agree with you on the syn pillows. They don't want to stay where you put them.

Try tethering your pillow to the head end gather with a bit of shock cord. Works a treat, as my British friends would say.

I like to use those semi-circular 'travel pillows'
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

    Rug.

If I might borrow from a post made by Bradley earlier, if you have a problem with your pillow sliding down, may I suggest...

You know, if its duct taped to your head you don't have to worry about packing it!

I do the same, but use a sack with a fleece face on one side. It's warmer than nylon when cool, not sticky with sweat when it's warm.
