    Speer Pads

Anyone using one of Speer's pads? I'm worried about sticking to it when I try to move in the hammock, is this a problem? The description says "Grippy surface so they do not slip in hammocks" but is it going to stick to me as well??

Yes, of course. I have a friend who's had one stuck to him for the last two years. He's tried everything from acetone to sulphuric acid, but he still has big pieces of that pad stuck to him wherever his exposed skin was in contact with it for long.

Okay, maybe not. But you should always have fabric between you and a CCF for comfort and to prevent sweating.

True, I'm thinking of an endura silk cover to put over the pad. The endura silk will also add a bit of extra insulation.

All I've ever needed was a quick dry tee shirt on my oware pads.

So, does the SPE come with any pads, or is it just the fabric for $35? I couldn't figure this out from the website. Thanks.

It's just the sewn fabric SPE without pads. If you look at the ordering table on the SPE page, they sell pads seperately. You can always use ones you already have, though.
