Light Hiker Bedroll pics and test

For comparison, I took a pic of a Nalgene bottle, my GT Ultralight hammock, Baby Orca UQ, and LHBR TQ.

The LHBR is a slightly larger, but extremely light weight in comparison. You can compress it quite a bit more than shown in the picture with out issue. It's shown in the stuff sack it came in. At 14 oz, I'll give a little space in my pack for it for sure! It only packs a fraction smaller than my JRB No Sniveler, at a 1/2 pound lighter!

With temps around 40 F, I took a short hike out and set up my GT ultralight hammock with Baby Orca IX UQ, Z rest pad, and slipped into my LHBR TQ. I brought my Kindle along to read a bit. I only got a few pages in when I was off on a nap. I woke about an hour later nice and warm, and well rested.

I am definitely pleased with the LHBR, and entire set up. Most assuredly a great 3 season set up! Don't know what else to say except I'm one happy hammock hanger!

Looking for more info on the Light Hiker Bedroll DL

Can anyone offer any more info or opinions on the Light Hiker Bedroll DL? I am looking for a new option for a 50°+ option for a TQ. I currently use my REI fleece liner, but it is a little cold for me below 65°, which I generally have from May-September, so I am looking for a light sping/fall TQ.

At 15 oz, my fleece liner is "heavier" than I would like for its limited solo use.

Any second or third opinions on this product are welcome.

    Light Hiker Bed Roll

Don't know what happened to my pics. Here's the packed size comparison photo. From left to right: Nalgene, GT Ultralight hammock, Baby Orca UQ, LHBR TQ

Here's another pic of the bedroll hanging on the end of my hammock. I set up early this day to read a bit, and air things out. It rained the first 2 days. Temps in the mid to low 40's mostly. LHBR and Baby Orca with a Z rest pad did the trick keeping me comfy!

I'll be using this at the MAHHA. Feel free to stop by and check it out.

To add some notes after using this a few times. IX seems a bit stiff when I first packed it. After using it, it's much more pliable and not stiff at all. It's sort of like Tyvek. That kind of stiff to soft after use. Anyway, I love this 14 oz piece of comfort. I didn't have to worry about the rain, as IX is waterproof. It insulated very well for the wet/damp 3 day hike I recently completed. Now it stuffs into it's sack very easy, with room to spare helping it conform with the other items in my pack.

I think I'm going to get one of these to replace my sleeping bag for when it's not going to be too cold. I'm thinking 40 and below I'll use the bag.

That's my thought when I picked this up. Nice to go lighter, but stay comfy when it gets warmer than 40F out!

You may notice, slightly, in the vid. I made when you see my feet in the hammock with the rain hitting my tarp, that's the LHBR I'm wrapped in. Temps in the low 40s as I went to bed, and 37F when I got up.
