I'm just to curious. folks talk about it being so heavy, my guess it changing out the STEEL spreader bars for something lighter and the the heavy looking ratcheting straps they use for suspension it'd be at a more reasonable weight.

anyway. I couldn't resist at 99 dollars ( my better half will probably want to kill, but ... you only live once ) and who knows I may fall in love with this hammock and not need her anymore ...... jk

OK guys. Thanks to Mud Bone's FREE shipping, I just pulled the trigger.

I even got the OK from SWAMBO.

Worst that can happen is that I HATE it and have to pay shipping back to Cabela's.

BEST case scenario is that I Love it and attempt to make it lighter.
