I do see what your saying with attaching the whoopies. I like the idea of wrapping it before completing the larks head. I am not sure about the ridgeline. Pics would defintely help.

Ive been researching...what if i fed the dynaglide into a short piece of 7/16 amsteel and use the amsteel inside the channel to prtoect the material? Do this without having to do any wrapping, just a basic larks head.

As suggested I inserted my whoopie slings directly through the channels and it did improve the hang. Thanks for the insight. I also just completed my DIY bugnet and now have what I think is a good summer setup.

I think anything you do to increase the surface area of the dynaglide will help. One nice thing about using the wire sheathing on my Nano, is it keeps the all the parts threaded through the channel from moving. The rubber sheathing kind of grips the channel and holds everything tight like you would get using a larks heads. Using amsteel as a sheath might still introduce a sawing action against the channel. I guess you could experiment and see what happens.

If this is not clear, I'd be happy to shot a couple photos for you.

I apologize. Today I had someone ask this same question and realized that I never provided the promised photo.
Better late than never I guess.

I just weighed my UL with dynaglide whoopies and a 97" zing-it ridgeline and came up with 10.79oz.

Mine weighs in at 10oz exactly, I think my ridgeline is dynaglide.

Next time I weigh mine, I'm gonna have to squeeze the air out of it first

Did you replace the heavy cord lock and drawstring?
