    Simple Summer IX TQ

Finished a simple, basic TQ using Insultex (IX) this weekend. Needed to lighten my load with previously using an inexpensive sleeping bag. This TQ weighs 1/3 the weight of the bulky, heavier sleeping bag.
Two layers of IX sandwiched between a layer of 1.1 ripstop on each side. Not a thread injector work of art, but it should keep the chill off me, and understandably not the 'Down' everyone uses in ultra cold weather.
Measurements ending up with 78" length X 50" width, tapering beginning at torso to 38" at foot.
I followed a number of the threads here to coach me along, thank you DIY people for all the great info.

Looks great. I just carry a blanket with me during the summer for the early morning chill or breeze.

How much would you charge to make me one

I'll even drive down and pick it up!

Looks very nice! I recently purchased and IX TQ from tree to trail gear and love it. I haven't got the patience to sit with a thread injector. Thumbs up to those of you that do. Gotta be a source of pride when you use this TQ for sure!

very nice work....did you do anything special between the layers or did you just lay everydown and sewed them together without creating air pockets?

Hey Mark, that's a great looking quilt! It looks like a quilt made by someone that's been sewing ... oops ... gear making for years. I can't wait to see it next weekend at the Florida Swamp Runners hike. If it disappears during the night, well, you'll know who did it

Oh, and I'm especially jealous of your "tomato" pin cushion!!
