    Hey bablefish5,

I really enjoyed your video, it is good to see you get out there for a hike and hang even if it is only for one night. Thanks for putting some geology in the video as well. That makes it much more interesting to have additional info about the place you visited.
    Take care,

    Bablefish5,
Enjoyed your vid on the hang. The science part makes it that much more interesting. I always like to pick up a bit of the local geology whenever I go somewhere. It's icing on the cake. Sort of makes you feel a bit more connected to your suroundings.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy the scenery & geology of a hike. Some people look at the birds others like the plants. Me, I like the rocks.

Texas has some beautiful country. I learned to backpack just off the caprock of West Texas, in Big Bend, and the Guadalupe Mountains. Extremely dry, rugged terrain. You had better know what you're doing. However, if Texas does have more trails than Arkansas, it is only because Texas is about 4 times the size. Arkansas has 2 real nice long distance trails (OT & OHT), not to mention numerous others over 50 miles long. Yes, we have a lot of hills, and lots of lakes, rivers, creeks, and lot and lots of really nice trees.

Yes I have. Carry your water. Most sources are intermittent at best. The trail is in pretty good shape in that section. Lot's a great places to hang.
