I use the SRL as a yard stick. When in it, it is taut but bendable with two fingers. I have on occasion had it really tight (not by choice) when I had trees that were really far apart and I could not get my attachment points high enough on the trees to get a 30 degreeangle. The SRL still kept the sag in my BB so it didn't feel too different than ideal. Check out Brandon's video on how to set up the Blackbird. The principles apply to most other hammocks. At aroun 4:30 he talks about the structural ridgelne.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
Should have a little give to it. A good set up video to watch is on Warbonnet hammocks site. www.warbonnetoutdoors.com.
