So here is my latest discovery, the JRB Super Snuggie
I own the Winter Nest as an UQ and absolutly love it’s versatility.
I have been saving for another JRB to use as a top quilt and was leaning towards the NO Sniveller for even more options (aka wearable). After getting my JRB hood and attaching it to my Winter Nest I think now I’ll get a Reg Nest instead, even though I have converted my HH to zipper entry.
The reason?
Well the Nest has the lengthwise slit that when worn, sepperates the halves into a longer section that I can wear in the front. And the Sniveller would split it evenly covering more of my butt. The advantage is that when I sit down with it on and make a footbox end, I can kick off my shoes and cover my feet. I’m 5’10” and am just at the limit for making this work (they do offer a longer version which might help others).
I LOVE it this way, especially when kicked back in my new Tyvek Jerry Chair.
My wife said it reminded her of those Snuggies on TV, and I have caught her using it on the couch watching TV!
When I put it on as more of a jacket I:
1.Clip together one end around my waist (on the inside) and pull together the drawstrings to pull it tight to my back.
2.Clip the front part (about my waist) together around by back.
3.Make the footbox by clipping the corners together and drawing together the string all the way.
4.I pull the footbox up inside and clip it to the other part I clipped together in front of my waist. Then smooth it out a little.
Also when I need to seal up the arm holes I cross grab the loops there, and pull them under my armpits. This seals them up great when I’m in my Jerry Chair.
I think now I need another one for my wife
