BB 1.1 Lefty or 1.0 Righty?

Ok, I'm torn between "what I use now" and "I'm too cheap to custom order"

My current DIY hammock is a 1.1Single with a footbox (no net yet) the footbox keeps my TQ and feet from hanging over the edge. My dilemma is this: I lay with my feet to the left, as I have a tendancy to lay a bit on my left side due to a bad shoulder. (on a mattress, I lay on my left.)

The ultimate question is: do I order a 1.1DL and get a lefty, or order a 1.0DL righty? Any left-side sleepers out there with Righty-BBs?

    I'm stuck in analysis paralysis...

I was watching Shug's video review of the BB and in it, he said e was a lefty sleeper and no problems. In that vid, he demonstrated using the foot box area for clothes storage while he laid left.

I'd guess it would also depend on your height, though that is pure speculation on my part...

Yup..... 95% of the time in my BB I sleep head right and feet out of the footbox. My normal lay and just more comfy in my BB.

I sleep on each side, and use a standard footbox in my dbl 1.7. When i sleep on my left side, I face the door and extend my feet into the box. If my legs curl, then the feet are no longer in the box. When sleeping on my right side, I try to start with my back as close to the zipper as I can and still extend inot the footbox. Again, as I curl into more of a fetal position, the footbox is less used.

Based on my limited experience so far, I would not bother ordering a mirror image, or left side foot box. Unless it was to share sleeping arrangement with a close associate, then it might allow each to sleep facing the other, or facing out so the exits were on opposite sides of the hammocks.

i sleep on my left side in the standard bb with no problem at all.

i'd recommend trying a traveler style/eno/hammock bliss hammock where you can try the opposite diagonal and see how it works for you

Just ordered a BB 1.0 Double... Ordered line/strap suspension even though I have huggers/whoopie slings.. I figure I could use the straps as a backup set...

Whooo Hoo! Thank's to Mom for the B-Day money! (yes, even at the ripe old age of 44, I like birthdays!)

    Mom's are definitely under-appreciated...

Thanks! "Is it HERE yet?" My wife will really get sick of me calling her around noon for the next week or so asking "Is it HERE yet?"

Ah. my first non-DIY hammock... (besides my Beyer Parachute hammock that started it all!)

I have a 1.7 DL lefty. Yes, it is worth the extra $. Take a look at how fast you go through the same amount on a Friday night, and you literally piss it away. You're going to have your hammock for years. I'm holding out hope that someday a 1.0 lefty will be available.

    I do exactly the same.

    Happy Birthday John!
