Received my email today. Bargain outfitters has shipped it.
With so many people waiting on the brown truck, I anticipate a revival of the old chinook vs. guide gear thread. (I have the chinook and soon will have the gg)

Does anyone know if they've started making the 9' x 9's again? These tarps would be great for group hangs on a rainy day for cooking and such. And 30oz seems great for what it is.

Great. My gear "want list" as I prepare for next outing has gotten a little out of hand. If a twenty dollar tarp will keep me dry, I'll leave the sixty dollar Hennessy tarp for another day, if at all.

Ok! My 2 were $26.97 each from SPG. Should be here today. So the question is, do I return them and rebuy at the cheaper price for a savings of $14.00. Round trip drive of 40 miles, gas at $3.59, time involved.

Hold on to em until they sell out again, then post here and sell them for a profit. I've already decided this will probably have to be my first hammock tarp.

    Pretty low cost.

I got my email on the 8th as well. It was like a late present to myself. I ordered 2 of them a long time ago, I forgot when they would show up. I think the 12*12 will work great for shade and storage.

I have both the Kelty and Guide Gear. If cost is an issue, I'd go with the Guide Gear. As mentioned before, my GG tarp (with shock-cord tie downs) has held up through several storms with 50+ knot winds showing no signs of wear or tear. It also packs smaller than the Kelty.
