Spinn tarp guylines

I know Spinn doesn't have the stretch like silnylon. Does anybody still use tarp tensioners the Spinn or is it just added weight with no value?

For me it's useless weight. My spinn tarps pitch tight & stay put all nigt. I always use tensioners on my sil tarps.

The only real advantage I could see is they would work as a shock absorber in heavy winds.

I use a bit of shock cord as a shock absorber with my Spinn tarps - my guy line thread here. Worked well last weekend in 30-40mph gusts.

I've no tensioners on my spinn tarps, Just added weight.

But I use a 3 wrap prussik on the lines for a tensioner. Meant to hold 30lbs so if the wind gets too bad the prussik should in theory slip, not tear the tarp.
If you want more load ability just ad another wrap in the prussik, should give you 45lbs of load (per line).

Correct me if i'm wrong but I recall reading the load tension ratings her in the past.

^shane^ has a great setup. Tried it and it works very well. Not sure how but I did lose one of my linelocs...
I saw Dylan using this setup at the NJ Winter Hang and tried it. Works well too. Like always, personal preference.
