    on-deck

the wife-e-poo and i drove down to fernandina bch fl to visit her sis and broNlaw. had a superior time with great folks in a really cool place.
we stayed 6 nights with sis and 4 of those nights, i was a hanging on their deck.
this was the 1st chance i've had to hang in mild temps (bought my hammock for Christmas 2010). i have been very comfortable during 20* nights with pad 0*bag and fleece garments. nite temps in fl. hovered around 47-50 and breezy, very comfortable w/ pad and 40*bag. the 3rd night temp rose to about 57 and some rain dropped in. i was comfortable under my superfly w/doors closed (12" bottom air gap) but, i must have been perspiring because i woke up with a small puddle on the pad, though i didn't feel sweaty?
i may try a fleece throw instead of the ccf pad?
i don't own an UQ yet which may allow the adjust-ability to prevent spring time puddles?

One warning the locals will not pass on because "Well... everybody already knows that...

Yea... I thought that and did not warn my new wife (25 years ago)
about the fact that if you eat too many you will NOT need any ex-lax.
She ate about a pound they were sooo good!

The boiled peanuts will take care of that for you.

Had boiled peanuts at Christmas while in Georgia - umm umm good! I had almost forgotten how good they are.

Flatline, that is a perfect hangin' spot - deck on one side, nature on the other. Good for you for taking advantage of it!
