No, but I'm pretty much an addict to the stuff. So I limit my allowance to 'special occasions'. Trail Days qualifies...on a couple of levels.

Just stay away from Hooch! He will tempt you with an offering of deep fried Oreos. Like the commercial says "not even once".
    Trust nobody!

Hey Hooch, are you working a booth like previous years? If you're not, try to keep Sunday morning open and we can go ride the Creeper from Whitetop down to Damascus.

Sleeps With Skunks will mostly likely be there. We're getting a hotel room in Abingdon so she and the baby can get away when fatigue hits and she needs to get away from the noise.

I'm looking forward to seeing you there.

Well, I had to miss TDs 2010 and I'm 5 1/2 hours drive away but it's sure looking tempting this year. Great opportunity to handle gear. My wallet would be a lot lighter on the drive home...

UPDATE: I'm going to miss this one. Have to take my re-certification for Climbing Instructor that weekend in N. Alabama. Hope I can get to SEHHA the weekend before to see some of you. Have a great TDs weekend.

    Thumbs up

That week I'll be leading a 52-mile section hike by Dragon's Tooth, McAfee Knob, and Tinker Cliffs on the AT, finishing on Friday in Daleville. Doing early dinner at The Homeplace Restaurant in Catawba.

Plan to stay in Damascus that Friday night. Already got a place lined up to crash in someone's yard, thank goodness. Will stay most of day Saturday, but leaving late afternoon/early evening.

Would be happy to join a group photo. The other thread says 4:00 Saturday in front of Dot's.

If anyone wants, PM me and I'll send my cell number. We could meet up to shake hands, maybe do lunch.

This will be my second Trail Days. Went in '05 at daughter's request after her '04 thru-hike. Figured once of that madness was enough for me, but this year just fell into place, so I'm back for a day of it.
