Hope your day was at least as nice!

So I went out today on a very dark, cloudy ( looked like rain) 40° day to a certain North MS park. Hiked a couple of fast miles off trail. Saw a lot of deer. I saw no other humans except for 2 dirt bikers going by about a 1/4 mile away. I'm sure they didn't see me. I hiked in to hill "450 ft elevation" on the topo map. I decided that was a good spot for a stealth style break before heading back.

I decided to try to get a pic of the loft without anything added down below. So I tried to place my left hand on top of the down inside and then push my right hand until it made contact with the left. When I got home and looked at the pic, I found it does not seem like as much as it really was. At least not in this spot in this photo. Most spots it was about 2.5", a little more in some spots. It also looks like I need to push some down loft to the middle from the right.

With a down vest thrown in, there is clearly a lot more loft, about 4" at this spot, a little more in other spots.

Finally, in for a quick break before hiking back.

Warm and cozy, peace and quiet! If it wasn't getting dark and near supper time, I would have just passed out!

My wife called just as I was getting out of the woods in the dark. I got home just as she put supper on the table, complete with blueberry pie. Perfect timing! And my hike had made me hungry. Nice day! It's always good to get outside.

My head end was not as low as this camera angle looks, and the pod often looks blue in the pics, rather than the dark green it actually is.

    stealthing in the afternoon

I take stealth naps too, in the middle of the workday.

Usually inside though. I've thought real hard about how to hang a hammock in my office, but I'm not seeing it

Exactly right! I hated to pack up and leave, and only hunger and knowing a good supper was waiting drove me to it

You need the deluxe series james bond false wall so it just looks like your office is empty when in reality your behind the wall watching who comes and goes on a video monitor in the ceiling. If someone important starts to come a red light flashes and it delays the door to your office from opening, like it's stuck. When your safely back in your chair looking like your busy you hit a button under the desk to release the door. I hear next month they're coming out with a home model for the persistant wife that comes around looking for items to be completed on the honey do list, LOL!

Next time, better planning. You should have waited until today, then you could have taken some of that Blueberry pie with you to go nap in the woods. How nice is a nap after a good slice of pie? Mmmmmmmm.
    Trust nobody!
