    Wow. That's awesome.

Cool idea. Now you have me thinking. I think foor a long trip I may keep the crocs. But for a couple days where I am really trying to shave weight something like this would work well.

I have been trying to find something like this for that. My crocs are over 12oz I think. The flip flops I saw in the store were way heavy too. I wonder how they would work with something going around the ankle for river crossing. Kind of like a light teva.

She got the idea from reading that yall carry crocs, and she thought those where too heavy. She asked me about the ccf pad, and I thought she was nuts, but 30 minutes later, I was amazed. I took them to the Post Office, weighed them and 1.2oz . Wow!!! Don't mention River crossing sandals to her, she already marked up my feet this morning with permenant marker (blue). I don't want to stand around while she tries to figure full blown sandals.

I told my mother about them, she asked why I didn't make him climashield booties. Who knows what I will try to make.

Speaking of which. Do you know of a good pattern for that, or an easy way to do that. I'm tired of getting cold feet standing around in camp.

She says when the little kids go to sleep that she will work on it, Yeah for me . It shouldn't take her very long.

Cool. My sewing materials didn't make the move with me yet. I'm planning on picking them up in a week or so. Then I'm give them a go.

For the sandles I was thinking some GGR shaped like teva's. Some way of clinching it tight and it would be good to go. Probibly still under 2oz.

I have some 1" nylon webbing that should work well for the sandals, the CCF pad is not all that thick, and you still have to be careful. It might be pretty slippery while crossing water.

She is not working on the climashield booties right now, I baby still awake.

    Hi
How do the straps attach to the under side of the thong (as we call em) and wont it wear through after a while?

I think these are mainly for light walking around camp. I was thinking about using webbing when I get around to making some.
