Based on what I'm reading this morning, I don't think they will have the ability to check-in for a while even if they are alright. What a mess!

Hopefully, their hammocks kept them safe and we will hear from them soon.
    Trust nobody!

Go here http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/ and scroll down the right side. When you see Video News check out the shots of the Santa Cruz harbor. Boats sinking etc.

    Thanks for the concern...

Most intense and longest rumbling and grumbling I've ever experienced, but our house made it through it unscathed and all without any mishap or injury.

We live in a rural suburb, and no big damage here.

I feel for those in the coastal communities...

Now there is the nuclear reactor that's overheating they're trying to fix. You stay safe over there DD, more news I watch the more exponentially devastating the damage is.

Yeah, for a country with virtually no natural energy resources, nuclear makes a lot of sense...on the other hand, for the one of the most volcanically/seismically active countries in the world, it doesn't make a lot of sense...

...more rumbling now...after most of the night quiet, earthquake clusters are sprouting up again...
