    Hanging from eyehooks in ceiling

I'm on a quest to extend my hanging enjoyment to the indoors. A portable hammock stand is okay, but I'm looking for something a little better. The general idea would be to place eye hooks into the ceiling joists with high density, low stretch, rope hanging down and connecting to the hammock. I figure this way will provide some nice sway with the ability to remove the ropes/hammock when I need the space.

    Anyone done this before? Thoughts?

    thanks!
If there's two ways to take my comments, assume it's the lighter and funnier of the two.

you have made a wise choice, i sleep in a hammock at home every night, the main thing to consider is the width of your room, you need more length to suspend a hammock from the cieling than on the wall, i hang my brazillian and mayan hammocks about 6' up and 15' apart
    good luck

I actually found several posts on these forums (on Google oddly, not the forum search) about this topic. I'm working with 15', so I'll likely have to put them in the wall and not the ceiling.

you should have ample room to hang any hammock, if you want to hang it out of the way during the day, just place a loop of cord in the center of the hammock , this gives you three hanging points, so the hammock doesn't drag on the ground
