Flackfizer, thanks for the great pics of the beautiful cypress and the video.

Islander, what a great idea of the "walking video" that captured the essence of the weekend.

Thanks to both of you for staying up late, even though tired, so you could post these in time for me to wake up, realize they were there, and make myself late for work while watching them Seriously, thanks for the extra effort!

Enough can't be said to thank Flackfizer for showing up early to place a water cache near our Saturday night camp site. That water re-hydrated a bunch of tired, thirsty hikers just like a Mountain House meal!

OK, here is what everyone is waiting for ... pictures!
Nice photos MAD777... Always good seeing the entire group in a few shots. Good Job!

I, too. wish to thanks the movers and shakers who made this happen. Islander and Flackfizer, that I know about and any others I may be unaware of contributing. the water was a godsend!!

The two recent Florida campouts fulfill a dream I've had for years of camping out in the swamps close to home. I never could quite overcome the inertia that resisted doing it by myself.

Loaded hiking (with back pack carrying everything you need) is extremely physical. It may be slightly like childbirth, in that it's always a surprise how hard it seems when I first go back out. (apologies to the women, because I know there's really no comparison. I watched my three daughter escape the womb).

As some of you know, I'm going hiking on the AT for a month or so next month. I am now redoubling my training efforts.

    Anyway, thanks.

Have no illusions, Grinder & olddog were setting the pace. The rest of us were tracking their footprints!
