    it's a pretty tough hike

we just did it last summer, beautiful area ... i'd love to go back

i'd be up for it and i really prefer backpacking .... however, if this is going to be a big group hang, maybe we should consider being more inclusive and having an easier to get to area?

    just thoughts

I agree, an easy hike would be best. That area looks really beautiful and I really wanna check it out sometime but as a group hang I don't think it fits. Any other ideas?

    Waldo Lake?

How about Waldo Lake? Lots of campgrounds there and plenty of hiking trails for backpackers. We could have a group camp out at the campgrounds followed by a backpacking trip for those interested.

You're right about that, maybe the weekend after would be better?

Those look pretty good. By next Summer, I'll be humpin my pack with the best of them. Sux that a foot injury is so hard to overcome. Prolly from never letting them rest. I took it very easy to avoid surgery and I've done it....almost. Just don't let me spoil your fun. If a long hike is what the majority wants, I'll just have to pass till next time. There will be plenty of other opportunities.

But don't get me wrong. I wanna hang! LOL!

Well the majority so far is for a short-medium hike so it looks like you'll be fine. There's still quite a few people that haven't seen this thread yet, though.
