    ENO Ember Under Quilt

I am contemplating on whether or not to buy an ENO Ember under quilt. My only quibbles are as follows:
-as far as an a-symetrical (or however you spell it) lay, does it conflict. can you still do the elastic hooks? I'm somewhere between 5'0" and 5' 6" if that helps.
    - What are the temp. ratings on that thing? If when (assuming I get it) I sleep in some long johns, thin pants, long-sleeve shirt, and possibly a light fleece jacket & hat. Also what is the max. temp. assuming i'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt. All this with no top quilt.

    Imho

My wife and I love our ENO DNs/One Link systems, with one simple, small exception, and I'm very interested in their UQ but for that one area.
I refuse to buy anything more from ENO until they stop making the SlapStraps (CrapStraps) out of nylon. They know it's the wrong material! C'mon ENO, do you just not care!? What gives?!

Some good reviews from HF members on YouTube but personally I would get a sythetic UQ from Arrowhead for the same price. Better yet, you can spend the extra cash and go down. I converted, you will too

    Welcome btw

I believe it's because they focus on the frisbee golfing niche.. I don'tknow if they really intend for people to sleep overnight in them or if they even considered that when they made them. Seems they got their start selling at Frisbee Golf tourney's.

But I do agree.. wasn't happy when I got mine to find out here that they stretch like all get out.. I have a brand new set I've never used now...

I agree with Slo, you can do better elsewhere. My main problem with the ENO under quilt is the weight. You can get an under quilt from a half a dozen different providers for half the weight.

I know I've done it before but I can"t figure it out how to post new threads. Could someone please explain to me the process?
By the way, thanks for the input. However i"m still wavering between the Ember, ya'll's suggestions, and a pea-pod with a sleeping bag. Someone please help me decide (although it is starting to get hot in the hammock with no insulation).

I thought I'd post in a pre-existing thread rather than start a new one. I have the fortune of winning a hefty gift certificate at a local outdoor shop who happen to carry ENO products. Since I'm essentially getting this stuff for free, I was wondering if the Ember was simply overpriced and not designed quite AS well as others in its price range, and if it is decent and effective overall or if it is BAD design that contributes towards people not recommending it?

I am planning on using this for paintball outtings in a couple of weeks where I will be camping 10 feet from my car and a half mile from civilization, so weight right now is not an issue and I have no backpacking plans for this year. Michigan nights are still chilly at 40 degrees and even upper 30's, I have decent sleep gear and the ability to load up my car with plenty of extra blankets. As far as I can tell though, what really matters at this temp range is if the under quilt effectively separates you from the moving air around you. Does it at lest succeed at that?

I do already have a tarp and bugnet.
