I went with a sewn footbox on my 3S Burrow which will also be my Winter TQ for all but the coldest conditions (warm sleeper).
I'm going to order a Summer Burrow with the snaps for ultimate versatility!

I have one of Adam's older 3S burrows that I got in a trade. It has the omni tape to seal up the footbox but I like the idea of the ties. The omni tape has a way of coming undone, I think gremlins get hold of it and open it up, but being able to tie it closed and having the omni tape to seal in colder temps might be a good solution for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Mine both have snap's, But I did get an extra snap higher than standard so I can close it up for a bit of overlap with my 3/4 UQ's underneath. Just found I had a bit of a gap with the standard snap height loaner the HG team sent me to get me on the trail due to a postage stuff up.
If I was camping in really cold weather and had a dedicated winter TQ, I'd go sewn for sure.

My custom summer burrow using momentum 50 is in the making right now. I'm using the lace up style as well. It cuts off about an oz. I wanted to be able to open it up.

Can anyone tell me if there is a weight difference between the snaps and sewn footbox? I'm sure even if there is its not enoug to matter, just curious.

I don't have a burrow yet but in my head, I have no clue which one I'd get. I think I'm leaning more toward sewn foot box.

Lace up? Do you mean sewn, or did you order a custom option? Pics?

I think he's getting something similar to what I have. Here's my video:

Mr Akers did get a custom closure for his footbox. It was a lace system similar to the one we made for Mr Perez. I don't think it shaved quite an ounce but as we know...it all adds up. I am quite jealous of BOTH of their quilts. I WILL have one in the near future I think. Since I plan to be at Trail Days, I suppose I will just HAVE to make one for display purposes.

P.S. By the way, I do not think I have said so yet but I absolutely loved that video, Raul! It cracks me up every time I look at it. Outstanding work my friend!
