the mini trangia and small gargriller are a great match!
i took these this weekend:
>
at home in the morning i put some frozen rib eye and kangaroo steaks with olive oil, salt and pepper in a ziplock bag. in the evening they were ready for dinner. while the steak was cooking i chopped up half an onion, some mushrooms and put them in the pot with a bit of coconut oil. when the steak was done i covered the pan & put it away to 'rest' and put the onions and mushrooms on to saute. the timing was perfect as well as the meal :-)
i also cooked a kangaroo steak on wood using the grill on the gargriller. sorry, no photos, i think i was too hungry, but it turned out great, just watch the flames, not to burn the meat.
i also made lots of pancakes - all perfect - in a windy spot w/o problems using this combination the previous weekend.
thank you kobold for the input and the food looks tastey. But a i try and stay away from square stoves because they create alot of soot for my round pot. anyone use a pocket stove stove? i see they weigh 1lb buy thats it for what i know.

Hey Rusty Nails... I am not sure if you've tried this or want to, but the Penny Alcohol stove is a great stove. It's always worked, very lightweight, can be integrated into a wood stove or stand alone. I carved up diced chili can to provide ventelation and serves as a pot stand and it's worked great for 4+ years.

I know it's not a Trangia, but you might be surprised.
