    Stakes

    Looking for help with stakes.
Would one use the same stakes in snow and into the ground? Is there a difference between them?
What are recommendations for types of stakes? I was thinking something along the lines of a 3-sided type spike.
I have a WBBB and a big mamba tarp that I will use 4 tarp guylines with tensioners when set up.
Should I use the same style of stakes for the tarp as well as the hammock?
    Thanks ahead for your comments.

Ground hog stakes work well enough for me in snow and soil

Some people use different stakes in normal conditions and winter. In 3 season I use titanium stakes. They're a little bit more pricey, but sure are light and strong. For winter you can use something like these or if the snow is very high you can take plastic grocery bags and fill them with snow to save some cash.

Have you tried tying you blackbird out to the same stakes that are holding your tarp. I do this with my MacCat standard which my be easier as it is a bit smaller than yours. Saves you carrying and tripping over two extra stakes.

hey Myles, no I haven't. To be honest I'm still new to all this and my BB is in the basement and I haven't set the thing up totally yet with the tarp. Been waiting on all the pieces and besides, we've still got 37 feet of snow(??) and it finally got above 0c yesterday.
