There are plenty of people who have made them, but my husband has never tryed one and I wouldn't know how to sew it with out looking it over myself. There is probably instructions on this site, you just have to really search the threads. Sorry I wasn't any help.

Stoikurt did an HH clone and if I'm not misteken, it had a bottom entry. Ah, there it is in this thread. Good luck! I personally saw this hammock in Hot Springs and it was quite a nice piece of work. Stoikurt did a very good job on it. There are pics on the thread and in his gallery as well.

    Well, thank you, Hooch.

If I can help just ask and I'll try.
    A few points:
    1. Cut the reinforcement patch to the desired shape and put bias binding tape (very important, and I'm sure you know because it will follow the curve without puckering) on the edge.
    2. Pin it to the bottom of the hammock and sew it down.
    3. Cut the slit from the end of the hammock to half way into the reinforcement patch and heat seal the edge of the slit.
    4. Cover the edge of the slit with more bias tape, sew it down and then sew on the velcro. I used the softer velcro rather than the stiffer or OmniTape. Whatever you do, don't use peel and stick velcro 'cause it'll gum up the needle.
