Right now I have to say mine is my HH ULBA with my JrB Nest.
This will change I am sure as I add different options.
MacCat tarp on the way to me And will be ordering my No Sniveller real soon.
So that will change my favorite combo. Also have to say I really like my HH Expeda as well.

    Hey NC,
I just finished a ray-way last weekend. Got it with the alpine upgrade. The materials were top notch & came out pretty light for two inches of loft. The only thing I didn't like is the bulk. It takes a huge stuff sack. Probably close to a 1000 cubes. I am sure it would pack considerablly smaller without the alpine option.

That's good to know... thanks! And congrats on finishing it. Just in time for Winter, too.

Hey FF - how's that hyperlight working out? Is it worth the extra $$$?

My favorite depends on the trip. HH BULA, Nest, NS, MacCat. Or homemade hammocks w/ various insulation...got a feeling it's about to be the DownHammock v2, NS, MacCat, but I need more testing on the DownHammock first.

Well I sold my Expedition on e-bay and recently got my Hyperlite. Have been hangin in my gym and will use her for the first time this weekend in the woods.
Saves me about 1 lb. over the Expedition. Mine will be around 1 lb.10 oz. with the JRB 8X8. If I could do it again I might have looked for a used UL Backpacker on e-bay. It is 30D ripstop nylon vs. 70D nylon for the ULB. Around 7 ounces lighter. I assume the material is a little softer than the ULB. Color is light brown with small white square pattern.

Yeah, but 7 oz is quite a bit lighter if the performance is the same.

Back from my first solo overniter. I went to Slaughter Creek Trail in the Blood Mountain Wilderness Area. Thought that would be cool seeing as though Halloween is near. When I got home I did'nt realize that Blood Mountain is one of Georgia's highest peaks. I bet the wind was blowing around 30-40 mph at times. Temps were around 35. Hammock performed well as did the rest of my gear. Will have to get a Balaclava instead of just a fleece hat. Face was kinda cold.
