    Hammer Waterfall, Malaysia

    Hi Folks,
I just had a short one night waterfall trip with my brothers last weekend. It was a blast after about three months of not being outdoor (my last hammocking was on new year eve).

It was a really good trip for us. It did require some planning and researching as this place was not properly marked and my direction would be based on what other people wrote in their blogs.

It was about 2 hours drive from my house and judging from the cars and vans parked by the roadside, we knew that we were not going to be lonely tonight.

We need to cross a waist deep river not long after we start hiking.

The hiking was easy with gradual elevation but not too steep. It took us about 45 minutes before we arrived at the waterfall.

Then, steep climbed down the hill.

My brothers with the waterfall at the back.

and one cannot resist the temptation to swim, eh?

smoke coming from the campsite. quite an elevated site from the water level.

    The hanging station.

The view of the 'beach' from the campsite. Some campers did pitched up their tents close to the water. Oblivious to the danger.

Someone even tried to do some fishing here.

and last picture salvaged from the camera before the battery was depleted. (clever me for not charging the battery properly).

Looks like you had some fun. I really like jungle hiking and camping. I have a friend that is married to a very pretty Malaysian lady. He goes over there quite often and he loves it. And you're right, it's not too bright to camp so near the water.
