Brandon had produced a trial run of BMJ's that were manufactured in China. He passed the cost savings on to the consumer, and all of the internationally produced goods were marked with an (i) on the website, and priced below the domestically produced counterparts.

My guess is that he sold through his stock of the Chinese-made BMJ's, so he's switched back to the domestically produced versions. You'll noticed that both versions of the Sil BMJ are listed as backordered, too - probably waiting for more to be made.

he is not doing the china thing with his hammocks is he? In other words the one I have on order now I am expecting to come from him and be produced by him (or his shop I suppose) not from china.

I am correct in my assumption?

Which hammock did you order? The double 1.0 Blackbird hammocks marked with a (i) at the top of the page on his site are the only made in China hammocks as far as I was aware.

I got one the imported Big Mamajamba tarps with side pannel pulls a couple of months back. My only complaint is that I did not have enough money at the time to also order the door kit. The quaility on this import is excellent, not a loose stich to be found and I got it just in time to test it during a heavy snow storm.

If Brandon gets any more of these imports, do not hesitate to order one.

Keep in mind $110 is still a great deal for the domestic bmj. The domestic bmj before they did the trial run I believe they were $115 and I could be wrong but I didn't think that include pannel pulls.

I'd love to get on of those 1.0dbl blackbirds before they're all gone.

WBG, I was wondering about the domestic, is that USA material? or do you mean just by design and assembled in USA? I tried to find that info on your site without luck..thanks for a great product.

+1, mine is excellent. I guess I didn't look close enough, because I didn't expect the SF to be a bit heavier than the BMJ.
