those look awesome Dutch. I would def buy a pair if they were ever made for production. If their is an xtra set for testing I as well know some one who would be very happy to test them out for ya . Great idea Angry Sparow and Dutch. Good coloboration
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I love the "cottage" coming up with the next big thing. The weight and size of those really are great, especially since they can stay perm. attached to your line. Since they are so small, being attached to the line perm. can help them not getting accidently lost. Love the name. Good job.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.

Ok, time for the big ask! If these are not scheduled for production, is there any chance of
a drawing so we can DIY these thngs?

(I have access to some decent Ali Plate and I'm in sweet with the laser cutters we use for work projects)

Could probably knock some out for the Aussie HF troop?

What say you Dutch ole buddy ole pal.

Man it almost looks like Dutch could make a run of 100 pairs of these and they would go quick.
You can put me down for getting a pair.
Who is going to be the first to turn these into trail jewelery and wear them on a necklace or something? And who is going to be the first to get a pic?

or maybe dutch might be happy to send them unfinished and we can do the finishing/filing and smoothing ourselves to save him time and money?

Another idea - if dutch is happy to make the CAD file "open source", maybe we (the forum members) could make a suitable donation per file download to a charity of Dutchs choice? ie he sets up a "Justgiving" page, we donate then he sends a link to a download. if he likes this idea (sorry to talk about you like youre not here dutch) then I'd be happy to host the file. Just an idea, I may be way off base here.

I had a bunch cut. I cut up an entire 12" x 12" X 1/8" Titanium plate into these. The cost of manufacturing is pretty high and the titanium is expensive and difficult to work with. I am planning on offer these as I get some more finished. I bet I spend an hour per pair to get all the sharp edges off. And there are a lot of edges for such a tiny part. I owe the HF community a lot so it is my pleasure to do this in a "pay it forward" manner. I would be ashamed to charge what the real costs are. They are much more expensive than a Dutch clip and I have to put in way more labor. I'm going to get that worked out in a couple weeks and see what to do. Right now check back and I will be getting more done to give away. I was looking for a good way to PIF and this will work out well. Also I will get valuable feedback and will end up with a better product. I see there is a need but the fig9 is what everyone has been using for years. I'm sure you gear heads will be able to put a backup knot on them for a couple weeks more.

If you see the nitize guys pulling up in their black suvs, tell them it was all Angry Sparrows idea.
    Peace Dutch
