    washing eno gear?

I just got a double eno, bugnet and pillow .... when the time comes, how do I wash this stuff? Washing machine and hang dry or what?

btw, I spent two nights in my garage apt between my motorcycle and tools. Tonight I'll try it out at my upstairs covered porch, and after my tarp gets in I'll try it all out in the backyard.

Got a weekend outdoor party in the Texas Hillcountry this week and will give it a real test before my big 2 week / 2k miles motorcycle trip in april. so far, this eno hammock is very comfy!

and yes, there's plenty of room there to hang!

I hand wash my hammocks in the bath tub with warm water and hang dry.

I've cleaned mine by hand as well.

If you do feel the need to use a regular washer, though, toss the hammock into one of those mesh laundry bags first. That should halp protect the fabric from snags.

regular washer in a mesh bag is what I do but it is a rather rare occasion that I would wash it - last time was due to a leaking trash bag leaving it stinking

If your overly worried toss into one of those frontloader washers at the sit and spin, no agitator, no dammage!

Frontload washer works well. Then I hang dry.

thanks guys! I've spent a few nights now in my eno x2 and it's been quite comfortable! Hopefully I'll get onto the deck tonight, out of the north wind and see how that goes with the bug net. I think I like sleeping in the eno better than my bed .......

I've spent a weekend up in the texas hill country along the Blanco River during easter weekend and just love hammock camping! I woke with a bird fluttering it's wings attracting the attention of a female .... what a alarm clock .......... after that weekend I got my speer winter tarp and frog sac and tested that out, along with my full kit and slept great, again. I was hoping to get a bit cooler weather down here so I can test out the frog sac and my wool blanket. Yeah, that blanket isn't a backpack type item, but I'll be on my motorcycle so that weight won't matter too much ..... later I'll get something better. My campsite is still set up in my backyard (for a few days now) and through all the wind the winter tarp is doing very well! I also gave it the hose test ........I'll spend another evening in the eno ...... why sleep in bed?

Sounds great but be careful about leaving it all set up for too long. Prolonged exposure to the sun is not a hammock or tarps best friend. And welcome.
