Warbonnet Gear in HDR, Just For Fun

I recently got a new carbon fiber tripod and have been putting it to good use taking photos I couldn't otherwise take, including an obnoxious amount of HDR pictures. This is one I took this weekend of my warbonnet kit, BB DL 1.7, Yeti, and Big Mamajamba Spinn UL Tarp.
If there's two ways to take my comments, assume it's the lighter and funnier of the two.

Is that a weathershield over your netting and if so, is it DIY or commercially bought. It appears to be the same color as your UQ. I'd like to buy or make something like that for my WBBB 1.0.

    Thanks, Miguel

What tripod did you get and how much does it weigh and cost?

Man, I forgot how much fun it is shooting clown-puke (aka HDR) photography. I need to bust out my SLR and start shooting again. What do you use to make HDR pictures?

My recently-acquired Sony NEX-3 does HDR right on the camera by collecting multiple exposures. They work beautifully for distance landscape shots when taken on a tripod, but are a nightmare with things like trees up-close. Invariably, the wind is blowing a bit, and all the branches or leaves get that ghosting effect.

It's fun to play with, but works best for things like buildings where the scene is more likely to be static.

That said, I'd love to see more - there's definitely an art to HDR, and the best way to get better at an art is to experience more of it. So post 'em up, folks!

(I won't be posting mine, because they are pretty bad)

High Dynamic Range. It's usually three bracketed exposures combined in order to better capture the detail from shadows and highlights (or, in this case, remove any evidence of such interesting things as shadows and highlights).

Now that you mention it, I can see that in the pic in the first post. Thanks for explaining.
