Yea for somthing thats made of UNOBTANIUM Pretty good photoshop!

So I am thinking 1.9 silicone Nylon, because 1.2 won't hold up in the print process,

    thoughts anyone?

To make a long story short, just grab up some Nylon Taffeta and silicone coat it yourself?

Grab 12 yards of this for a tarp and hammock body:
    http://www.rockywoods.com/Fabrics-Ki...uflage-Fabr_12

Yes it will be plenty strong enough to make both a durable hammock and tarp with. Ripstop is not necessary, my Hennessy hammocks are made with Taffeta and I've had them for going on 7 years.

Then grab 4 yards of this to make your bug netting with:
    http://www.rockywoods.com/s.nl/it.A/...&category=2269

Put it all together, silicone coat the finished tarp, set it up, and don't walk too far off, you may never find it again.

There is a thread somewhere on this forum where someone shows how to silicone the material, I spotted it, but don't remember where it is.

Does anybody know where to get a Baker style tent that's made from Sil Nylon?

Campmor used to make one years ago from nylon, Frost River makes one, but it's made from cotton canvas.

    Thanks,

Have you guys found that a large solid block of black as in a black tarp really sticks out in the woods?
Another thing I've noticed when paddling at night is that I can still see the black hull on a kayak but a red one dissapears-maybe only me?
The latest cuben tarp from OES is a spring time green that really blends in. I think with the current offerings we have to be aggressive on placement of our campsite and with some manipulation of the limbs--is there anything wrong with a little pruning? I realize LNT but nature prunes on its own as long as one doesn't get carried away. Just thinking out loud.....

It's true, rarely in the natural world is there a complete absence of color, black is exactly that. So it of course sticks out like a sore thumb. It's why so many of the military camo patterns are phasing black out of the patterns.

The only places and times black is actually stealth is in a cave, hole, or on exceptionally dark nights. There is more red, blue, yellow, orange, and purple in nature than black.

This is my planned pattern for my next hammock.
