    New to the forum

    Hello,

I thought I would say hello. I'm a ground dweller from Ohio looking to convert. I have very little knowledge of Hammocks (why I joined). A coworker who I backpack with (also a member) got me intrigued with Hammocks. I will probably lurk for a long time trying to soak up as much information as possible, and hopefully avoid asking newbie questions.

    Thanks,
    Andy

Welcome to HF! Please don't hesitate to ask your questions. Everyone here was also new to hammocks at one time or another.

Welcome to HF from Bama........before you go soaking up all the knowledge, check out Shug's 10 part video series for Newbies. It is very informative and entertaining. Good luck in the quest to convert and hope to see ya hanging around for a while with us.

Haha yeah, I watched Shugs videos a while ago, very informative and entertaining. I've bought some gear (non-hammocking gear) based on some of his reviews.

welcome from Columbus Ohio!!! We have some great Ohio hangers here, great people with tons of great info......shug is not a bad guy either (even though he is from minnesota). Watch his videos, very informative, yet flippin hysterical. We are also fortunate to have one of the great quilt makers right here in lancaster- Stormcrow from hammock gear (www.hammockgear.com)

Welcome to the forums, tons of great people, good way to waste time at work (browsing the forums)

Oh, and if you are in the columbus area, we have a great outfitter called Outdoor Source, they carry hammocks too. I bought several of mine there....tell them Big Tom sent you.
