Okay, top seam is sealed. Unscented talcum powder purchased. I will get it up and some pictures taken tomorrow. Weather permitting..............just kidding.
About the Cuben tape. Joe advised me not to use it saying that it can delaminate and leave a mess. He said he guaranteed the seam for the life of the tarp. Stating he would repair or replace the tarp if the seam failed. He said he would not honor the guarantee if I taped it.

Did you have to call or email to get the tape as I looked on the site and it isn't listed! I also went looking for the 3M tape and all I could find was double sided!

ask about the home made cuben fiber tape. It's tape with cuben fiber woven into it. Pretty cool stuff.

Well, it looks like I've been waiting the longest in this recent batch. I ordered mine 10 weeks ago, but I'm sure that Joe did a much better job on mine than all the rest!

I stretched out the ridgeline on my hammock stand and let the tarp hang. This exposed the ridgeline so that it was easy to access. I ran beads of sealer along about 12 inch sections then smooth the bead out with the brush. It wasn't difficult at all. I hope it doesn't add too much weight.
I didn't seal the side pull outs yet. I will do that tomorrow when I hang it. The instructions on the package say to stretch it out before applying the sealer.
I'm working on the guy lines. I'm using 1.25 mm Z-Line with Micro Line Loc Guy Line Adjusters. And I'm using Smokebait's Single Line Tarp Ridge Line. I plan on using the ridgeline above the tarp right now. Joe put an attachment midpoint on the ridgeline. I suppose to help support it. If this doesn't work I will go under the tarp.
It says on the directions he sent with mine to seam seal it on the rolled side of the ridgeline seam.
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
That's what I did, but I didn't get any instructions.
I apologize, guys. I got called into work today. AGAIN! They are working me to death. One more day and I'm out of here for 10 days in the hills. Thank, God. I will post some pictures ASAP. It's ready to go. Weight after sealing the seam including guylines, ridgeline, stakes, reptile skins is 16.4 oz.
