I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I haven't used it, but most fabric stores usually have the same stuff. But, you can usually find what you're looking for online for much cheaper and know exactly what you're getting. What kind of fabric are you looking for?

Just looking for now...i know i am new and ideas keep surfacing...I would like to make a small hammock for daughter so she can enjoy it with feeling engulfed in excess fabric.

They should have Ripstop at most of the fabric stores you go too. I had to make a hot pink one for my gf because I told her that whatever one I made for her would be my backup. So, she wants to have a really girly one for my friends to use. lol Good luck with your project and looking forward to seeing pics.

I've been there with my Better Half a few times. She bought some Polarfleece the last time to make a balaclava for me. Haven't bought any hammock-specific materials there.

The shock cord at 50 a yard is really good. REI has it for .25 a foot.
You can get ripstop for much cheaper online even including the shipping. What are you looking to make?
