Guide Gear Tarp Storage bag mod.

Coincidently, I did the exact same thing with my new Guide Gear tarp stuff sack. (I just burned a hole in the bottom big enough to feed the ridgeline through.)

But I have A LOT of trouble getting the tarp in it. How do you do it? I mean, I got it in eventually, but it's super tight and wadded up. I don't feel good about it. Do you roll the tarp around its ridgeline first or what? Do you undo one side of the suspension, then stuff-and-walk to the other side? That's what I did, but there must be a better way. THANKS!!!!

I'm using this for my hammock and what you described is exactly the way I have used it. In a wind, it's almost comical to watch. I think I would like skins more than this, but it's what I had on hand and a nice quick fix.

Adfeds: Good to hear! In the interim, I came across a reference to a black bishop's bag for a hammock that is almost EXACTLY the dimensions of the Guide Gear stuff sack. That makes me think the Guide Gear stuff sack will be a better black bishop's bag for my HAMMOCK, and I'll make SNAKESKINS (more precisely, tarp tubes) for the tarp. Back to the Thread Injector!
