    Simple weather shield solution.

While I was backyard testing my new BBWB and my new 3 season Incubator I also thought I'd try out my mylar space blanket as a weather shield. I simply draped it over the ridgeline and clipped it to the hammock using about six plastic clips. I left about a 12" open for ventilation which worked quite well. Eventually I plan on making something similar out of sylnylon using a better method of attachment. Until then, this works very well, blocking out almost all wind. I was also surprised how quiet it was. Temps were about 30 here in upstate NY and I was VERY warm in the hammock.

Nothing really needs to said about the Stormcrow UQ or the WBBB....both can only be described in superlatives.

SImple is good, multiple use item even better, light weight is good, inexpensive is always good, really works - scoresw on every point. Thanks for the great idea. My only question is how strong as the wind for your test? and would it stand up to a strong gusty night?

for a really gusty night, this might be best used as an overcover, to supplement tarp- not all by itself...(remember, two is one and one is none!)

I did this same thing with my Dri-ducks poncho a while back. Man does it help keep you warm...nice work.
